Huffy® Sports and Jason Kidd Renew Endorsement Deal

New Jersey Nets All-Star Guard Jason Kidd recently signed a two-year extension on his endorsement deal with Huffy Sports, a longtime NBA licensee and world-renowned sporting goods company. Under terms of the agreement, Kidd will continue to serve as Huffy Sports' official spokesperson and endorse the company's NBA-licensed products through the 2004-05 season.

Kidd, the point guard for the defending NBA Eastern Conference Champions, will continue to be featured in promotions and advertisements for Huffy Sports' complete line of NBA-licensed products. The product line includes portable and in-ground basketball systems, backboard and rim combination units, sports tables and youth basketball systems.

Over the past year, Kidd has been involved with a variety of successful retail promotions and print advertising campaigns for Huffy Sports. One of the most successful programs was the "Play H.O.R.S.E with NBA-All Star Jason Kidd at NBA City in Orlando" retail sweepstakes. Four lucky winners from four participating retailers won a trip to Orlando to meet Kidd and test their skills in a game of H.O.R.S.E. The promotion, which was supported by in-store P.O.P. and retail circular ads, helped increase the sale of Huffy Sports product at participating retailers.

Kidd, in the midst of one of his most productive seasons as a professional player, has enjoyed considerable success in the NBA. He is a five-time selection to the league's All-Star Game and has been named to the All-NBA Team in four consecutive seasons.
